Operation Mobilization | Evangelism | May 4 - June 3, 2020 | $ 2,850.00 | Team Size: 4-12

The Africa Trek is a discipleship program. We aim to do 'discipleship on the move'. As the mission statement says, our heart is to see people go deeper in their discipleship relationship with the Lord, and be equipped to go and make disciples wherever the Lord calls them. We will have a brief time of teaching, and then do practical ministry, which can include any of the following: Door-to-door evangelism, sharing at local Bible studies, sports ministry, children's ministry, showing the Jesus Film, and practical work.

Alaska Wilderness Youth Camps, Inc. (AWYC) is the organization that operates Globe Creek Camp. The vision of AWYC is to “reach out to youth from all cultures providing outdoor adventure, survival education and promoting proper heart attitudes toward God, their fellow man, themselves, and their environment. There is a lot of upkeep work to be done on the grounds of Globe Creek Camp and we are grateful to have you there to help! Aside from maintenance projects around the grounds, there might be a construction project or two for you to be involved in, including helping to build an additional sleeping cabin or repairing an existing one, or serving at a homestead or on a home repair project in Fairbanks.

Mission San Quintin- Dream Center | Community Development | May 4 - May 14, 2020 | $750.00 | Team Size: 4-12

We aim to bring love, hope, faith, and transformation in the name of Jesus to the people of the San Quintin Valley. Our goal is to be a leader in community development and sustainability, specifically in regards to children, teens, and their families. Ministries opportunities included:

  • Gang Intervention Program (Compa Dream Center) targets young adults ages 21-25, and includes alternative education, art classes, weekly breakfast & soccer. Children's Feeding Program targets preschool through 12th grade including 4 programs with 350-400 attending.

  • Elderly Care Facility off-site (partnering ministry) with multiple care opportunities.

  • "Dump" Ministry offering meals, showers, and clothing to least-reached people living at the local dump site.

Partner with missionaries in Belize in a variety of ways. Local ministries know our ministry partners because of their willingness to serve in any way needed. Some of the ways they serve are: Helping with orphanages and VBS, and hosting movie nights in remote villages. Our partners are very involved in Belmopan and it’s surrounding areas. Their mission is to teach and equip the youth and adults of Belize with the gospel of Christ, and they live it out every day.

Serve with Victoria Ministries! Ministry opportunities range from daily direct interaction with Brazilian Campers and staff at Camp Victoria. Students will have the opportunity to serve alongside a full-time Students International staff person in an area of their vocational interest or passions. SI is doing community development through ministries of a Boys & Girls Club, Community & Environmental Health, Creative Arts Workshop, Education (Tutoring Center), Social Work (Micro-Enterprise), and Sports (Sports and Recreation) in the surrounding communities of Desamparados, Costa Rica. When students come on a trip they are able to work in a ministry site and help with the on-going work of the ministry to build relationships and share the Gospel through meeting physical needs.

The CRU mission is making many new friends, living life with university students, explaining the gospel to those who are interested, and discipling those who have already embraced Christ. This team will join the long-term staff stationed there and become a part of a university community in that nation. Students will connect with nationals through attending language classes, joining student clubs (art, history, soccer, chess, business, etc.), hosting parties, and frequenting the campus cafeteria and cafes.

Serve alongside Cuban brother and sister Willie and Yodalis, as they serve Cuban house churches and those often forgotten by Cuba's communist government - the disabled and elderly. These Christians live out their faith every day as they care for the needs of the poor, the disabled, the orphans, the widows, and many others in their community who would otherwise be without hope, even while living under the stifling cloak of communism. There are many ways you may become involved in the lives of Cubans during your time in their country. You will learn about a local farm ministry and how they are helping to provide food to the hungry, then you will spend some time serving with them; you will visit with several house churches and learn about the revival sweeping through Cuba in spite of communism; you will also have the opportunity to care for disabled children and the elderly. We know that you will be the hands and feet of Jesus through all of the ways that you will serve during your time in Cuba!

European Initiative | Creative Arts, Music | May 4 - May 25, 2020 | $3,150.00 | Team Size: 10-12

This team will engage in creative arts outreaches which take place in the busy squares of Budapest. These outreaches utilize flash mobs and contemporary Christian dramas to draw large crowds of un-reached Europeans. Following the presentation, the team will engage people in evangelistic conversations. The team will also do outreach in the public schools and a Christian cafe using English and performing arts to connect with people and share the gospel. Additional opportunities include visiting families in surrounding villages, serving those who are homeless, encouraging the local church, and offering prayer/intercession.

ecuador (medical)

Living and Learning | Medical | June 1 - June 15, 2020 | $3,350.00 | Team Size: 8-12

The medical care environment in Ecuador ranges from free public health care, to expensive, private care. Nursing or community health students will have the opportunity to get direct patient care experience in a variety of settings. The team will work in the main city of Quito in hospitals shadowing the nursing staff, volunteer in a local community clinic, or facilitate pop-up clinics out of church facilities. The team will then travel to the Amazon region of Ecuador and see first hand how rural medical care is delivered. Students will learn about the challenges of a socialist medical system.

European Initiative | Creative Arts, Evangelism Music | May 4 - May 25, 2020 | $3,750.00 | Team Size: 10-12

Students will encounter an authentic, Biblical model for making disciples as they walk alongside the local church in Marseille, France. They will utilize flash mobs and the creative arts to draw crowds of people, and engage in one-on-one evangelistic conversations. They will also walk the streets of Marseille in pairs of two or three, and engage in conversations about Jesus with the locals. Marseille is a port city with many Muslims, and students will have multiple opportunities to engage Muslims with the Gospel. In Italy, the students will also participate in evangelistic outreaches, including ministry to the homeless, encouraging the local churches and home groups, engaging in prayer and worship, and more.

One Collective | Community Development | May 8 - May 31, 2020 | $3,475.00 | Team Size: 4-8

We seek to equip and encourage the local church to meet the practical and spiritual needs of the community. We do this by assisting in the development and staffing of programs and outreaches to the marginalized poor, homeless, at-risk youth and low-income families in the neighborhood and surrounding area of Koukaki, Athens. Ministry opportunities could include women's and men's homeless outreach, youth ministry events, opportunities for art in outreach to at-risk neighborhood youth, park outreaches, work projects, and coffee houses for the community poor.

Clubhouse Guatemala | Community Development | May 4 - May 18, 2020 | $2,100.00 | Team Size: 5-12

Clubhouse is a multi-project ministry using things like food packs, chicken coops, house construction, water filters, education, medical and dental, men's and women's conferences, VBS, Sports camps and other ways to share the gospel and to help change future generations in Guatemala. This team will have the unique opportunity to serve the host organization by helping them clean, organize and prepare to receive other teams throughout the summer. This team will be primarily serving the host team.

india-delhi

Dr. Emerson + Truthseeker's | Medical | May 4 - May 25, 2020 | $3,300.00 | Team Size: 6-8

This team will travel alongside Dr. Emerson from APU to expand their knowledge of medical practices by shadowing Indian doctors in a hospital for about two weeks as well as setting up clinics around New Delhi. They will also assist a local pastor for a day or two with Vacation Bible School and work with an organization that focuses on social issues for the lower castes. This team is open to sophomores and juniors in biology, chemistry, biochemistry or applied health majors (anyone who is premed). You need to have been a part of Team Luke, with Mexico Outreach, at least once. If you haven’t done that, you can participate Thanksgiving of 2019 or during Spring Break 2020.

Group Mission Trips | Community Development | May 8 - June 7, 2020 | $4,500.00 | Team Size: 5-12

The people of Dublin have become more and more disillusioned with religion. Our goal is to address and meet their practical needs while building relationships and sharing the gospel. Our mission, simply, is to bring people closer to Jesus. This team will have varied opportunities to serve the people of Ireland such as: An evening outreach to people experiencing homelessness (with referrals to a Christian rehabilitation program); Ministry to inner-city children and families, including after-school care, a bible program, and summer camps; Music ministry; Discussions with retirees over tea and coffee: Prayer-walking through the city; (and more).

For example: literature distribution, open air worship, door-to-door conversation, street conversation, and street survey. Follow-up: revisiting the contact that are interested in knowing more Jesus. Showing-love ministries: beach cleaning or food distribution. The ministries above are to both Jewish and Arabs population.

Seiwa Junior & Senior High Girl’s School | English | Dates: July 9 - August 1, 2020 | Cost: $3,200.00 | Team Size: 6-8

Immerse yourself into Japanese culture and build life-long relationships with Japanese students and teachers. Come and share God's abundant love and grace to our students by experiencing their culture first hand, teaching them English, hosting a Bible camp, assisting in a full week of special classes and fun activities, giving testimony in the school chapel, assisting in elementary and kindergarten classes, doing homestay and so much more. We are a very small Christian junior and senior girls high school on the smallest island of Japan’s main four islands called Shikoku. Our mission school was started about 100 years ago by a missionary from Mississippi, Miss Annie Dowd, she started this school to help poor and struggling girls to gain an education and more importantly the gospel. We still celebrate her life and blessed achievements. Come and join us on this once in a lifetime experience.

This team will assist a local church with outreach to their Muslim community through family visits to outlying villages, teaching/playing baseball in the community, and teaching English. They will also have a unique opportunity to research and develop appropriate support systems for families in poverty using tools to assess their need. The team will partner with locals to choose one family who will receive a micro-finance loan from the host.

This team will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of ministries with Y-Malawi. Some of these include: working with Chiefs, Youth, Women and Children in the villages through literacy programs, bible studies, and evangelism.

United World Mission | Evangelism | May 14 - May 29, 2020 | $3,125.00 | Team Size: 10-12

There are over 50 unreached people groups living in Brooklyn, and the International Project is actively working to bring the Gospel in a tangible, culturally intelligent way. Teams will partner with local missionaries for a week of evangelism among diaspora and unreached people groups in the city. This team will receive basic training in cross-cultural evangelizing techniques and go out into the community, looking for “People of Peace” who would be open to studying the Bible or learning more about Jesus.

Josiah Venture | English | June 22 - July 22, 2020 | $3,225.00 | Team Size: 6-12

This team will help organize an evangelistic English camp for Polish Teenagers. Josiah Venture camps have a two-fold vision for growth. First, we long to see the youth groups in local Polish churches grow. Camps provide an opportunity for local Polish youth leaders to raise up a team of students to be equipped in the areas of evangelism and discipleship. Students will be encouraged to reach out to their friends at school and invite them to the camp. They will then have the opportunity to share the hope of Christ with their friends in a safe and relational environment at camp, and continue in those relationships when camp is over. Second, we long to see you and your team grow! Through building relationships with Polish believers and unbelievers, you will have the opportunity to encourage, love, pass on the message of Jesus, and grow in confidence and passion for the lost and the world.

Remember the Children | Kids/Youth | June 12 - July 5, 2020 | $4,225.00 | Team Size: 7-12

Remember the Children is about relationships and consistently telling and showing children that they matter. This trip will provide opportunities for you to do that for a child needing to experience moments of real love. Each day will be spent in villages and orphan homes where we have an ongoing ministry focused on building into the lives of children. You can be a part of helping these kids feel valued and giving them direction toward making good decisions for their lives.

Sun Ergos | Kids/Youth | May 24 - June 8, 2020 | $3,100.00 | Team Size: 4-12

Day-Camp for orphans and street children, who live at a Children Center in the city. The kids, ages 3-17, come from all over the former Soviet Union. Majority are from Muslim countries, and are considered unreached people. This location makes it possible for us to share the Gospel with children from other countries who have been abused and abandoned in the city. The team will put together a day-camp for street children, ages 3-17. Doing skits, games, sports, crafts and stories to teach them on how to become a better person and find hope in God.

Senegal is a majority Muslim nation with openness to the Gospel. On this trip, you will join UWM missionaries to get to know and serve Talibé (street children) through helping address minor medical needs; learn more about UWM's Talibé ministry with our local partner La Source church, and possibly help in a clinic operated by missionaries.

One Challenge | Sports, Evangelism | May 4 - May 19, 2020 | $2,325.00 | Team Size: 5-10

Friendship evangelism based around beach volleyball. The team will coordinate with a local ministry in Barcelona Spain that uses the sport of volleyball to create relationships and lead to conversations about faith. Part of each day is spent in prayer for the day ahead, volleyball clinics, and then playing beach volleyball on the beaches of Barcelona. Many times people will join the pick up games for multiple days allowing for more time to interact and go to deeper places and questions. Often there are conversations that follow the games that lead to possible kingdom growth. This is a different type of evangelism, much more based on relationship than on just handing out gospel literature. It will take focus, commitment and grace.

One Collective | Interfaith Dialogue | May 4 - June 10, 2020 | $4,500.00 | Team Size: 4

Pilgrim House is a ministry of hospitality found at the end of the Camino de Santiago, a historical spiritual pilgrimage dating back to the middle ages. This team will have a two-stage experience: First, they will walk 5 to 7 days of the Camino and then serve fellow pilgrims through hospitality at our Pilgrim House for up to two weeks. Our ministry is to care for travelers so that they encounter the tangible love of God. This trip has a strong social justice and social work focus. The team will learn about human trafficking in Thailand and have opportunities to help some ministries that are working to overcome it. These ministries include orphanages, local churches, and ministries that provide job training for trafficking victims.

Join a team in Thailand to teach English in an international setting. The GreenLight team will teach Thai students in the city of Roi Et as well as surrounding villages, all located in the northeast of Thailand alongside experienced cross-cultural workers serving as English teachers. This team will also spend time in Bangkok experiencing the city and learning the intricacies of a Buddhist culture and how Jesus is working to transform lives there.

Students participating in the Uganda Mission will have the unique experience of serving on a multi-national team. American and East African interns will join together in training on the biblical view of disability and a theology of suffering through our Beyond Suffering (BYS) curriculum, and in practical application of serving people affected by disability.

Victory Care Community Services | Kids/Youth | May 23 - June 27, 2020 | $3,600.00 | Team Size: 6-8

Serve in a local orphanage by building deep relationships with both the children and the staff. The team may also be able to help with various projects through Victory Community Care’s ministry. Their ministry extends to the children in Akanajuka Orphange, the young boys in the Hemora Boy’s Home, the women being trained and encouraged through the micro-finance loan ministry, as well as the local school and church in the community. This trip will enable you to deeply invest into a community and fully engage in an entirely different culture in the month long trip. You’ll have an opportunity to go on a safari and closely experience the things that make East Africa such a colorful and lively place.

Students will use their creative skills in photo and video to highlight events that take place during and after summer camp. They will travel to multiple camps to capture footage and create a promotional video and photo catalog for camps in Ukraine. The video and photo catalog will be used to recruit mission trip teams from North America.

Operation Mobilization | Creative Arts | May 4 - May 26, 2020 | $2,500.00 | Team Size: 4-10

The students will have the opportunity to help the local OM missionary team to make decor, costumes, props and more for the upcoming summer camp outreaches for at risk teens and teenagers living in the war zone. Our summer camps are full theatrical experiences and based on experiential learning principles. Participants will likewise be able to participate in clubs for at risk teens including a teen girls club, outdoor adventure club and a strike ball club. During this time we also hope to be hosting the Bus4Life - a large bus fitted with a movie theatre, tables, chairs, a tent, sound system and much more. We are planning during this time to reach out to villages as part of our church planting efforts with children's programs during this time.
