Application PRocess

Member Application Process:

  1. Complete and submit the online application. You will have the opportunity to tell us which teams you are most interested in joining within the application. We will also talk more about it in your interview.

  2. For Summer Teams, starting October 14, 2019, come into the Center for Student Action office to sign-up for an interview time. Fall and Spring Teams will not conduct member interviews, but members will be placed on a first come, first serve basis. We are located on East Campus near the Rose Garden in the building with all of the international flags hanging on the roof.

  3. Member interview days (for Summer Teams only) are on Saturdays, November 9 and November 16.

Summer Member Interview Process

  • You can interview for up to 3 teams. Each team will be a separate interview.

  • All interviews will take place on Saturdays, November 9 and November 16, 2019.

  • Interview times are first come first served and based on the trip leaders’ availability.

  • The interview sign up book will be available to you on Monday, October 14, 2019 at the front desk in the Mobilization office (the building with the flags) of the Center for Student Action.

  • The last day to apply is November 6th, 2019, and interviews are available on a first come first served basis.

  • If you are studying abroad and need to set up a Skype interview, please email actionteams@apu.edu. This options is only available for those studying away.

No team placement is guaranteed and every member must be interviewed so even if you have talked with a team leader or an advisor, you still need to come in for an interview on one of those days.

  • $90 (non-refundable) deposit due: November 8, 2019

  • 100% of trip cost due: *1 business day before departure

REQUIRED DATES FOR MEMBERS

  • All team meeting: February 1, 2020

  • $90 (non-refundable) deposit due: February 7, 2020

  • Weekly individual team meetings: February 3 - February 28, 2020

  • 100% of trip cost due: *1 business day before departure

  • Mobile Cause Training: December 3, 5, & 6, 2019 (must attend one)

  • $250 (non-refundable) deposit due: December 13, 2019

  • Complete Release of Liability and Upload Passport: February 1, 2020

  • Airfare deposit ($400) due: February 7, 2020

  • All team training retreat: February 7-9, 2020

  • Bi-weekly individual team meetings: February 10 - April 24, 2020

  • Action Team Commissioning Service: April 30, 2020
